garybuss I'm completely stunned - I've always been kind of on the fence about the blood issue - obviously when i was still in 'the truth' i was against blood transfusions, when I was born apparently I needed a blood transfusion to save my life, some sort of blood disorder passed on by mum's antibodies or something - anyway, the folks refused (my mum was even strapped to her bed to stop her seeing me) but i lived. However, my two godsons were born 15 weeks premature and required several blood transfusions to stay alive and i totally support that.
Reading some of the stuff on your site has amazed and saddened me, how have you managed to keep a level head on those shoulders of yours?

I want to go back to 2005 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
by hubert inwell, i'm not having a good day, for the first day of 2006 !.
if this is any indication of what my life will be like this year, i want no part of it.
i will probably get a massive coronary before the year is out.

Hi Hubert
Mmm, not a good day really, although is that much stress over a couple of coffee shop orders really worth it?
Maybe the people that served you had an extra hard party night on New Year's Eve and are a bit hungover.

Hi Mike, welcome. It's a appallingly familiar story, it took the death of my father and the support my brothers and sisters gave her to make my mum realise that her disfellowshipped children were not devil spawn and that they loved her as a mum and never looked upon her as the enemy, unlike her and my father's behaviour. Whatever you decide to do just remember that you're a good person and there are plenty of people out there who love and support you, hopefully one day those that hurt you now will realise just how misguided they were.
GaryBuss, I can relate a tiny bit to some of your experience but the rest - I'm truly appalled.

That's the trouble with this mad country - little bit of snow sends the whole country into blind panic - anyone would think it never snows ! We even got told one year by the rail company that the trains were delayed because it was the wrong type of snow !
Sorry Jon, big Welcome !

Here's a question.....
by Low-Key Lysmith in......for those of you who have family that still speaks to you on occasion, does it seem that they are always trying to update you on goings-on in the congregation?
my grandma, every time she calls (which isn't often), likes to say "brother or sister so-and-so were asking about you the other day".
or "brother so-and-so got disfellowshipped".

mmm, well it snows in the North of England and I think they've got some in Wales and obviously Scotland but us Southerners get about a millimetre of snow a year if we're lucky, that happened on Boxing Day (I think). We're kind of inbetweeny down here - lots of rain though which is great for the garden, and ducks.

Congratulations Auldsoul. At least you'll get some peace from 'those who can no longer associate with you or talk to you'.
Enjoy your freedom - my brother and sister are disfellowshipped and although tough going for them for a while they love their lives and haven't looked back !
